Find out why

The kitchens come to a stop in London’s Kensington Gardens to find out which family will take the first ever Real Food Family Cook Off title.

The two teams that have made it all the way to the final will have their wares judged by Ainsley and fellow top TV chef Simon Rimmer. For the first time this series they will both have to cook the same dish in the first round – shepherd’s pie.

The finalists are Banita and her Chilli’s Angels team, who are taking on Filipa and her Gourmet K crew. How will Filipa’s Portuguese roots and Banita’s Indian heritage influence their take on the British staple? They have just half an hour to show the judges what they can do.

Then comes the last Mood Food round of series, which comes under the title ‘More Than Four’. The teams need to prepare a sumptuous spread for a special occasion that will feed four or more diners. Filipa unleashes a marvellous Mediterranean-style Sunday lunch, while Banita presents her fabulous family thali. Which dish will have the boys drooling? Will the Indian-infused idea win out, or will it be the passionate Portuguese?
