Series judge Ainsley Harriott has over the past two decades become the master of fresh, fun and accessible cuisine.

Over the past two decades, Ainsley Harriott has become the master of fresh, fun and accessible cuisine. His food reflects the needs of real life: it is diverse and delicious but easy to prepare and speedy to cook.

Having trained at Westminster College, and embarked on a career in London's top hotels and restaurants, Ainsley worked as Head Chef of the Long Room at Lord's Cricket Ground in the early 1990s. While there he was asked to present More Nosh, Less Dosh for BBC Radio 5, before going on to become resdident chef on BBC's Good Morning with Anne and Nick.

Over the following two decades Ainsley starred in and hosted a wide variety of programmes including Can’t Cook Won’t Cook, Ainsley’s Barbeque Bible, Ainsley’s Meals in Minutes, Ainsley’s Big Cook Out, Gourmet Express, Fifty Things To Eat Before You Die, Take on The Takeaway, The Great British Food Revival and long-running series Ready Steady Cook.

Alongside his hosting career Ainsley has enjoyed many guest-star roles over the years, including television comedies We Are Klang, My Family, Gayle Tuesday and The Impressions Show, and is a regular guest chef on LK Today and The Alan Titchmarsh Show.

As a bestselling cookery author, Ainsley has also sold more than two million books worldwide, with co-editions in Dutch, Danish, Slovenian, Romanian and American.
