Yes, interesting, but highly speculative: I'm not sure anything was 'revealed' other than the truth is now lost in the mists of time!

I agree with Philippa Gregory's conclusion as to who benefited most and ordered death of Amy Robsart.

Excellent programme but, why oh why (sic!), does C5 keep shrinking the screen just when the cast list is on. I had to come to this site and scroll the programme through just to find these. Can they not publish a cast list here like the BBC do on their site? It would save time if C5 are going to carry on with this shrinking mularkey.

I too missed the program on tv but looked on this site to see if or when it would be repeated. I had not realised I could watch it on this website. I use AOL and was able to watch it completely with only one stalling moment. Thank you.

Ifound it very interesting, I love the Tudor period,so anything that gives an insight into their lives, after all this time is facinating, I would love to have acess to those original documents, they really bring the past to life and they also throw light onto what could of happened on that fateful day.

Hi Michael,as you say, highly speculative, but it throws up some interesting points, ie; why did Amy clear the house?

Found the programme really interesting and well put together despite the fact I am not a great fan of history programmes. Came to the website to see the credits as this was not possible on the telly. Please don't shrink them.

Hi I love this period in history especially Elizabeth's reign on a recent trip to warwick I visited a chuch in the town and was amazed to find Robert Dudley's tomb and that of his young son in the beautiful Beauchamp Chapel, really worth seeing if you have an interest in their story makes it more human than just the facts and speculation.

Fascinating ideas. Like those at the time, we can but speculate. But you can see how Dudley cound not become king after that. Demand Five seems much more usable than the iPlayer. Very impressed.

Loved this show. The actors were great, gorgeous Queen. But, rather rude to shrink the credits. Not everyone can look on the website. Otherwise excellent.

Fantastic, but it had to be Cecil, Robert and Elizabeth had too much to lose. Bye the way Robert was very tall ... not so here.

It was supposed that the Queen did have a baby son, but she gave him away only a few min after he was born. She never saw him again and the father was unknown.

The whole website has changed for the better; what an improvement! It is easy to explore and there's more of a variety of programmes to choose from. I love the way some history programmes have been made more exciting with the use of drama and story-telling (more biographical) drawing the listener in.

Great Stuff! Can we have more of the same please? Completely agree that Wm Cecil is the main suspect. The beginning of the programme puts him firmly in the frame. He didn't hide the body, he wanted it to look like a murder and he wanted Dudley to be the prime suspect. He knew that Elizabeth could never have Dudley as a husband afterwards fearing being accused as a co-conspirator in Amy's demise. I expect Cecil was very happy with the outcome!!

Anne, most of the documents referred to in the programme are at The National Archives in Kew and available for any reader to see

Brilliant. I really enjoyed that. I agree that it was Cecil and if it wasn't him then he certainly benefited hugely and wouldn't have complained. Let's hope a bit more evidence is stumbled upon to further reveal this mystery. One query for channel 5 on demand...why is the photo for the programme here of 2 men unrelated to the show? Would have been lovely to have a photo from the actual programme.
