WTF!? This is the first time I've seen submariners wearing AWD whilst on the casing at sea, new ones at that!? Where did all the badges and name tapes come from as well???!!! Oh, yes, cameras on board, same thing happened a long time ago when we had members of Her Majesty's press aboard, all the Wardroom did was make sure they didn't speak to any backafties!! LOL, RIP Sceptre you good old girl...

No beards!? 30 days at sea and everyones got SB&S, when was hair allowed to be cut on a boat, or did they pull into Gib when the camera's were off? lol RIP Sceptre, Soveriegn and Fair Thee Well Unseen

Bring back Warspite, a proper boat on telly. Gib straits not on surface.

i noticed that the same co2 abortion unit that we had on "T" & "A"s of the 50's and 60's is still being used on this boat - i hope that they have improved on the oxygen generators that we had back then - the first time on flashing them up brought tears to your eyes - literallyl

AB Gardyne certainly is the best submariner the world has ever seen. Or at least he seems to think so...... And i think im right in remembering the MEO as a part 3 on Super B, early 2000's.

I've seen a couple of these channel five documentaries on the royal navy. the recurring theme seems to be mechanical failure big and small all the time. is it really like that?

Not a bad summary of life on board a submarine - made me feel quite nostalgic for my days on bombers ... but not nearly enough mention of the back afties. If they can show the control room, then surely they can get back to manouevring now and again?

    Again NO back afties!
