Carrie, a woman for whom squirrels, mud and a lack of alcohol are synonymous with pure evil, has a predictably nightmarish time at Aidan’s country cabin.

She soon hurtles back to the city for dinner with Big, who spends the evening waxing lyrical about a movie star he’s dating. Returning to the cabin, Carrie drags an equally disparaging Samantha along, who ends up getting her reward in the form of Young MacDonald, a hunky local farmer.

Meanwhile, Charlotte has fun at her mother-in-law’s house in Connecticut – a holiday which proves far more (re)productive than Carrie’s – while Miranda hears some bad news about Steve.
