Leicester Market
As featured in Episode 3 and Episode 6
Located just south of the clock tower in Leicester's Market Place, this 800-year-old market is the largest of its kind in Europe with over 270 stalls.
The outdoor market sells a wide variety of goods, particularly fruit and vegetables, but also flowers, clothes, second-hand-books, bric-a-brac and jewellery.
Leicester also has an indoor market; a multi-level building containing a fish market and delicatessen. All of which helped to it to win the title of Britain's Favourite Market 2009.
