The luxury dates are on hold as Gavin travels to meet the girls' families.

to be fair, I think he picked the right one, she was a bitch throughout the whole thing BUT as she got through to the final you can actually see that she genuinely feels for the guy, no-one really liked her but at least she was true to him. on the other hand i think layla wasn't as interested in him, she seemed like she was scheming a little, and more interested about his fame, and to share that fame even though she's a smart woman that can possibly make it on her own, just seemed she wasn't really that genuine.

Just caught up with the last episode. Gavin's decision, in my opinion, obviously shows that he is still a boy at heart and not really a MAN. If you want teenage fun.....pick Carrey Anne. If you want a wife...pick Layla. Layla is a grown up REAL woman. Dont get me wrong I like Carrey but she's not what a REAL man would look for. I believe Layla is quiet successful and mature for her age and in this day and age a lot of guys can feel intimidated by that. Layla WANTED gavin but she didnt NEED him.

Thank you for the insight Kerry (above). It is good to know that Nickie is very happy now. I understand why she left and that Gavin would have been unsuccesful in asking her to stay - especially when missing her son. But it was a shame that the viewers did not get to see him try, and then see that for them selves (especially after what looked like a very promising date at the fairground). For me, it was a big shame that my favorite girl had left the show and I did not get to see more of her. Nickie also missed out on more exposure which would have increased as the numbers dropped. Hopefully the exposure she did get has helped her career (and not put her off the limelight) and she will pop up on something else. Feel free to divulge anything if you can Kerry.

I'm a friend of nickie's she did the right thing to leave, Gavin wasn't right for her, and after keeping carrianne and morgan both in after everything that went on, she decided he wasn't for her, she was true to herself, gavin didnt have a say init, she left before he knew anything about it, but wrote a note to explain, Once she made her mind up she was going NOTHING would have stopped her. All i can say is she is very happy now.

I think that all things considered Gavin did his best to find a partner in dificult (but desirable) circumstances. He seemed to treat the girls as fairly as he could when he is only seeing what the girls show him. Don't forget that the producers of the show will only show us what they want us to see so any of the girls could be quite different in real life. I thought that Gavin missed a trick when Nikki left - and he seemed to do nothing about it. Nikki was the most atractive & nicest personality combination to me, but Gavin obviously has a different set of eyes and that makes the world a more interesting place. So he choses Carrieanne. She may not be ideal mother material for his kids - but they already have a mother. I respect his decision as he apears to have followed his heart - and it is HIS decision to make. I think his sister had some good insite here with a comment on the show about an exciting choice for himself rather than the most logical one that may lack that spark. It would be interesting to see this format run with a single girl and 25 guys. I don't think it would be an easy process to go through without making any wrong decisions. One observation I had is that Gavin always looked in impecable shape with flawless skin throughout the show. Must take some effort. None of the girls seemed to match this. So I don't think that Gavin actually had anyone to choose from that matched his fitnesss/looks/income potential. I really enjoyed the show and wish Gavin and Carrianne well. Who's next Ch5?

Layla is a princess!. She is too much for him. i think the reflexion of the bachelor is that in the world is bad and good people, and Layla is an intelligent person with values ..so low people with low values is the result. I think Gavin is not Intelligent at all . Layla you deserve someone with your same soul!

Omg just watched the catchup to see the final episode. Hated Carrianne frm day 1 just by her attitude like when she said 'another one bites the dust' in her stupid ratty voice. I dnt fink she has the intelligence to make a relationship work, I dnt even believe she knows what it means!! I wonder what would hav happened if georgie and Nicki hadn't have walked hmmmm. I think they would have effected his final choice, what a same :( dnt think ts gavs fault though. He isn't allowed to see the filming until after, so its difficult aint it.

Slightly staggered he picked Carrianne but not sure Layla was much better. Every time Carrianne spoke about the other girls it was to describe them as threats. She was obviously playing a very cunning game and it worked. I feel sorry for him because she will dump on him after not too long and can't imagine what she'll get up to behind his back.

Didn;t like her from the start and I am a really good judge of character, said to my flat mate you just know she is going a girl who loves causing trouble. Defo think after reading what the psychologist read above she is right- Carianne did cheat and well once a cheat always a cheat. I just think it is wrong to bring someone into your kids life when they lie, cheat, are nasty, bitchy, agressive to everyone around her. Maybe Gavin loves Carianne( pleasssseeee) but does he not love his kids more and want the best people to be around them. Carianne is sooo cute, I think Gavin liked that side of her and the warmth and affection she showed him. There was definately chemistry and without it love cannot blossom. Layla was sweet but she wasn't as in love with Gavin, she changed her tacticts on the last date with more smooching, but Gavin could see through it. Carianne's tears were genuine and the passion between them was what made it clear he had chose the right one. All the best to the both of them, they deserve it.

I knew Gavin would choose carrianne, despite her irritating little voice she is real what you see is what you get. The chemistry between them flowed naturally right from the start, where with Layla she upped her game to be on par with what came naturally with carrianne. Where there is love with this type of chemistry any types of problems can be over come. Her tears were genuine and I feel this is probably her first real love. I wish them all the best in this world where few hearts survive.

I've watched it all the way..... didn't like Carrianne as much as the others but who are we to say who Gavin should choose? The last two episodes showed a sweeter side to Carrianne and showed herself to be genuine. She had strong feelings from the beginning she knew what she wanted and did her best to get her man. The fact Gavin told her he loved her and had wanted to for a while was the icing on the cake. Good luck to them both, I wish them every good wish in their relationship.

So glad to hear they are still together and very much in love - it was obvious from near the start how he felt about her. Why all the horrid comments about Carianne? I watched the entire show and thought the others were obviously jealous; bet they could also tell he had strong feelings for her from quite early on and were threatened. I actually hope not as if they had and still liked Carrianne, they have serious problems. To be honest, I think Gavin deserves all he is going to get if he is that shallow. OMG Gavin seemed a lovely genuine chappy will make a great husband, but unfort I do not think this relationship will not last. I give it 3 months top. Once the sexual chemistry has calmed down, Gavin will soon get bored and I think carianne will get fed up spending time with his kids. Gavins parents didnt seem to keen esp the mother, it was written all over her face. There were far better girls to choose from. Oh dear, what has he done.

Carianne did not go on there to makes friends with the other girls, she was there to try and get Gavin. Of course she is going to be different in front of them. She is also not on there to try and show how she can be a mother to his children, they already have one. Gavin wanted a fun, beautiful, non-calculated, easy-going girl to date, and i think he chose the right one in the end. He had a much better time with her than with any other girl, it was relaxed and she was geniunely happy in return. So why say he's made the wrong choice? It might not have been the choice you would have made, but then you and Gavin are obviously different. I found Layla calculating, too short, and frankly dull. His family even spotted her predicatability. She was nice sure, but thats why she was in the final. It was obvious to me as soon as he didnt send Carianne or Morgan home after Cameramankissgate that both or one of them would get to the final and win. A lot of the people on here are saying he should have picked girls liked Zivilie, April, or Nicky but they just didnt show enough character or desire to get their man. It wasnt an episode of Pride & Prejudice, men want attention just as much as girls do, being restrained and so-called ladylike will never work unless you look like Angelina Jolie! You might think Zivilie would be a nice virgin girl to take home to Mum over say Carianne who at one time posed topless, but frankly girls like Zivile would bore me to death. One girl almost got it right when she said "guys dont want a nice girl they want a challenge" no guys want a fun girl who can challenge them and Carianne is that.

She is very false and I think when he watches the series back he will see her for what she is a nasty rather fake insincere person. It all started on that picnic - she didn't hold back and he felt great around her... The others were either too shy, too much like friends, not his type, or slightly miserable/lacking confidence. It's a competition and I've seen plenty of girls go straight in for the kill when they've liked a guy - regardless of their friends who may like him too ... (it's happened to all of us). I liked C's spontaneity, she deserved to win the tv show. As for life 's love....... that's another story and who knows!

Not the best choice Gav. Struggling to understand what CariAnne has going for her. So you said you want trust, loyalty and someone who you have a lot in common with to be a role model to your children. CA ticks none of the above. When you met her mom, the only thing that her or her mom could talk about was how her topless modelling and her mum's attitude was 'you got it flaunt it' ummmm less said about the apple not falling from the tree her. But more shocking, when asking do you like kids- she said doesn't know much about them??? and sport- No which means she will never understand you being so passionate about being away all the time. am a psychologist, watched the episode back when Carianne denied cheating. Well in my professional opinion. She clearly lied about it and turned it on Morgan which is very wrong.Not a good start o any relationship. She uses her body as a honey trap whereas the other girls used their intellect in my opinion. Gavin, be careful of her.

UNBELIEVABLE! I thought Gavin had a little intelligence! Obviously not the case after he chose Carrianne, she is a Glamour Model, his Rugby mates will be having a right good old laugh at him because they'll be pulling pranks where they can, they will most probably have her topless photos all over the changing rooms. Maybe that is what Gavin wants, he did say more or less the same when questioning another girl, the name escapes me who also did topless modelling. And I do believe that was the reason he did not choose her. Also he said he wanted to settle down, do you really think Carriieanne wants to settle down with another mans children, she is so young. If Gavin had a morsel of intelligence he would have chosen Leyla who would have been the ideal match for him. Perhaps by choosing Carrieanne it will keep him in the papers because I so know Carrieanne will give Gavin no end of trouble. I really felt for Leyla who poured her heart out to him on the final day, I do believe too there was more than the two of them soaking in the hot tub, Leyla said more or less the same. I can't believe he picked Carrianne, I don't like her, although she looks sweet. But I guess perhpas just becuase she does not have that much brain and Gavin might just like this kind of simpleness? In this last episode, I saw Carrianne dropped tears, somehow I felt that was real, not acting, hopefully....as this might be the positive sign for this ending. I've never liked Carianne, for the way she treated the other girls mainly and what she did with the cameraman, but I thought it was obvious that he was going to choose her, he's been besotted with her for a while now, even her 'cheating' on him wasn't enough for him to let her go. In her favour though, I think there was real chemistry between them, although I do not believe this will last (on her part anyway) and I do not believe that she loves him, I think it's just lust at the moment. I didn't think Layla was insincere, but I did think she was perhaps trying to convince herself that she liked him more than she actually did, perhaps she felt that it had gone too far into the process and she'd look bad if she didn't keep it up. Those steamy snogs in the hot tub looked a bit forced from her point of view, like she was just doing it because she thought that's what he wanted. I also agree with what a few others have said here, why was he kissing Layla like that when he's in love with Carianne!? Typical bloke! Anyway, I'm not going to wish them bad luck, I hope they make a go of it and good luck to them, but somehow I don't think it will last. Anyone who's wondering what to watch on a Friday night now won't have long to wait before Gavin's back doing 'The Bachelor Take Two' in 6 months after he and Carianne have split! Lol!

On paper, Layla seemed to be the right choice, the one with similar experience, the one he should go for; but his heart was drawn to Carrie Anne. So glad you followed your heart, Gavin. I think people are missing the point here, Layla may have appeared sensible, mature and more 'normal' than Carie ann but that was the reason Gavin was unable to fall in love with her. She is just an actress, she planned out how to be on dates, what to say if the conversation was dry, ect. when you have chemistry with someone then conversation is natural and cannot be rehearsed. That is why Gavin fell asleep. Carie ann is unique, she wears her heart on her sleeve and that is why people tend to dislike her because she is too honest. If we all said what was on our mind then we would most likely have less friends for it but lovers need that. They need to be evoked and they need more women like Carie ann... it is not just about sex but being able to love her for who she is and not some rehearsed imitation of a 'good wife'

I watched all episodes and I can see why he chose her, bcz they did have that chemistry, it always seems so easy for them to get close to talk end etc. where he was struggling with other girls. Carrie anne always made him relaxed, even though I thought Leyla would be better for him, but at the end she seemed to me more like she is a playermore into herself. Last episode showes that this was just a comeptition for Leyla not true feeling, she keeps repeating herself that 'she got to do this' - like its a job. I have really enjoyed this series, hoping that Gavin would find true love, he seems like a genuine guy who deserves deep happiness and have his soulmate by his side. Is his new girlfriend his soulmate? The Chemistry is obviously there, however when real life kicks in will she be 'The One' for him? I think Gavin you should have lead your normal life, and invited the girls to see the reality, that way you would have seen FOR REAL, if they could cope? Rachel W - Don't get excited. It's only like a 'soap'. It's not real. Quite clearly the girls are actors. The whole series is choreographed and scripted. Studying the earlier episodes there are co-ordination and editing errors. Camera locations are pre-determined and appropriately placed. I'm not sure any of the girls would have ended up being your wife Gavin, so you might as well enjoy the 'chemistry' with 'C' Think 'C' was either a set up, or young naive thing to be bitchy behind the other contestants backs (ie bad smirks on receiving rose on double date toward girl who 'lost' and thoughts aloud to camera on how she was going to get you?! Good luck to them both I think k that no matter what anyone else says Gaving made the right choice for him it was noone elses choice and just because some wouldnt have chosen Carianne doesnt mean that Gavin shouldnt have. Layla as nice as she seemed made me feel as if she was high maintenence when she stormed off when he fell asleep -not a good idea on a date but he reaction made me think that if things didnt go her way she would have a temper tantrum. we didnt see everything that went on over the 12 weeks and therefore we should respect Gavins choice as it is what he wants that counts not what anyone else does.

I have followed this show mainly because it was between BB shows but seriously what and who the hell is Gavin Henson. He is, as he constantly likes to point out, a sports person, so why not only make yourself look desperate but show yourself to be self absorbed. All questions were how the girls were gonna fit into his life, surely he should want a strong woman with a career of her own and like any relationship meet half way sometimes. Carrie ann not only sounds like a three year old but I'm pretty sure her understanding of right and wrong will be as limited as a 3 year old. Well this just proves that the old adage "Love is Blind" is true. People can say what they want about the suitability of Carriane etc, (she was never my first choice) but there's no substitute for chemistry and biological attraction where love is concerned. The feelings that Gavin and Carriane shared for each other, looked genuine, however long they may last in the future and away from the trappings of the show. Nature is a powerful force.

I could tell they had fallen in love, however I really loved Layla the most, she is so beautiful inside and out and would have been the perfect wife. Good luck Layla, you will find someone more worthy, (hes not on your level Layla!) and though I was disappointed he chose Carrianne, it was quite endearing at the end and they obviously really like each other. Best of luck to all. Hope Carrianne will reflect on her behaviour and try to be kinder in future.

I believe Leyla was the right girl, but she was too much as Gav. They would have bored each other to death. I did not like Carrianne as she was exactly the opposite of what Gavin wanted and opposite his so called 'values' but at least they will not get bored in the next two months. I'm soooo disappointed Gavin chose Carrianne over Leyla. Carrianne's attractive smile is contagious and welcoming. I guess the opposite does attract with Gavin quite shy. Oh Gavin, it was painful to see her true colour living with other girls. How would you cope if she brings on the same attitude to your family over disagreements. She also looks like the attention-seeker type and how would she cope if Gavin is away long-term? Like we saw in the past episodes with other girls, she moans, moans, moans, and criticises. Maybe I judge wrong, but after watching all the episodes how she relates with other girls, isn't that evidence enough she would do the same to the family or even his children? Seeing is believing? It'd be interesting to see how the relationship develops over time with his family. Leyla does have the same qualities as Gavin and the same strong family bond. Saying goes that successful relationship tends to look-alike or have some similarities. Does opposite attraction truly work?

I agree with Liliwoowoo. I don't understand why people are so down on Carrianne. She is a spontaneous person and wears her heart on her sleeve. If she has annoyed the other girls then it's mostly jealousy and partly because she's not calculated in what she says and does, so won't brown nose JUST to be liked by the other girls. That's not what they were there for, to make friends with the girls. They' were all competing AGAINST each other so there's bound to be issues, disagreements and jealousy, as Morgan demonstrated by back-stabbing her "friend". Layla seems too rehearsed and like she's going for a job interview. I can't see the chemistry between her and Gavin at all. It's too contrived. And the fact that she's already been in a relationship with someone in the public eye for 6 years, and THEN decided to go on this show, proves beyond a doubt that she is fame hungry, and trying to act like she's not. Anyone with half a brain can see that what you see is what you get with Carrianne. That might make her appear shallow and a bit ditsy, but rather that than calculated and manipulative. The chemistry between Gavin and Carrianne is glaringly obvious and I think he can tell she's genuine and says what she thinks rather than holding back and faking it! Well done Carrianne. I hope you and Gavin have a lot of fun and a great life together.

OMG ! Can't believe it ! He chose Carrianne ! Must admit, she was NOT my choice to win - until this episode - she was in floods of tears at the thought of not being the one he chose - but was that because she desperately wanted Gavin, or desperately wanted the life he could give her ??? Hope it was the first one - and he was obviously besotted with her from very early on - no other girl would have been given the benefit of the doubt on that 'kissing' incident ! i think him and Carrianne are very sweet togetehr, she is the complete opposite of him and so they bring out the best in each other, you cannot deny that they have real chemistry. She si just a fun girl who weras her heart on her sleeve, dont know why everyone is being .so awful about her. April was the PERFECT girl for Gavin and I think he should get the series over with and then look her up. I have to say that Layla's mother was a total nightmare, she didn't just probe Gavin she interrogated him with the most awful facial expression possible! If that had been my mother I'd have been mortified - after all Layla is a grown up and able to make her own mind up about who she spends her time with!! The (sad) fact though is that there's now only Layla and the awful Carianne left to choose from... I actually picked Layla as one of 4 that I liked right from the start but after THAT day with her mother I have mis-givings... April was the one for me but why did he boot off Zivile? Was it because she WAS a virgin, I wouldn't have thought so but if anything should have told him that here was a genuine lady that should have done. Someone mentioned Ms Church and yes, can you JUST imagine the feather-brained Carianne with that AWFUL voice and stupid laugh dealing with HER!! All I can say is GOOD LUCK GAV, 'cos you're going to need it!!!

She has been bitchy throughout the competition and although some can say thats the nature of the program Gavin has kids that will no doubt need to have some input over who he chooses to spend time with,I for one wouldnt allow my kids within a million miles of that fake shallow spiteful woman. She is sexy and alluring but shes an air head. If he's looking for a 'quickie' in the bushes away from anyone who knows and respects him then choose Carrieann but if he's looking for a special lady in his life with good looks but also a decent personality with it then choose Layla. I liked the foreign girl, forget her name she seemed lovely and virtuous. Ah Gavin, I was involved with sports dish myself for a while, saw lots of girls come and go, most of them nice enough, but it was easy to spot those who saw the players as a ticket to an expensive handbag, glitterati lifestyle. Carrianne is in love with idea of Gavin. Was unimpressed the way she saw off that welsh lass in an early episode by her air booting gesticulation once Gavin had rejected her. Not a nice girl. Layla for me, but if I were the romantic, I'd be off back to win Rachel's heart - y'know, pretty woman style. She would support him I think, and handle the life that comes with a celebrity, and handle Ms Church in a very lady-like manner. Has no-one thought about that? Can you see Carrianne having dialogue with the mother of his children? Anyway, I'm off to phone a few celeb sports friends myself and get them to councel Gav! Still, can't wait until Friday night....

WHAT is wrong with Carrianne - why on earth does she constantly giggle when talking to Gav. It certainly is not nerves, it just screams insincerity and shallowness. Nearly as bad as the hair thing - LEAVE IT ALONE! If I had rats tail extensions like that, I really wouldn't want to draw attention to them. Fake Fake Fake - but I have to agree with plenty of others, if Gavin Henson picks her to win - he absolutely deserves all he is going to get. All the genuine girls are long gone. Carianne's date looked the best, he sort of lit up around her & it was an evening date (better than the apology hit of tennis he had with Layla too). BUT, I think it'll be Layla because next week his family gets involved. It's just tele... doubt any of it will count in the long run, but I think he's come across as just a normal, nice guy, actually (in not so ordinary circumstances). He really seemed genuinely stressed out in this latest episode. I like the way the English do things in a more real way - it's less polished than the US one with its strong dating culture!

I think the batchular is REALLY BORING AND DULL. He seems only to be focussed upon those girls that "put out" or "take it to the next level"... all the nice girls didn't (of course) as these things generally take time, especially when you have a film crew & the world watching!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did he ever consider how HE may feel if the situation was reversed? Would HE want to "put out" knowing that he was one of many others also doing the same with the same person? And he says that he WANTS an "old-fashioned girl with traditional principles!!!" Perhaps he should value the fact that he could relax in front on someone as he did with Layla (& actually so should she...) & let the intimate side of it just happen naturally? As Karen says all the nice girls have gone from this cringe-worthy competition for the prize that is Gavin Henson!! Once the cameras had stopped intruding April would have been absolutely fine, she's just a lady that's all, which is what he SAID he wanted...!! The episode when (Carianne) a 'glamour' model (what he said he didn't want) with the most Godawful voice I've ever heard and no brain that's noticeable actually ate him alive was hilarious, his body language when she was "kissing" him was so telling as he was all but pushing her off & trying to come up for air. Unbelievably though he couldn't seem to see through a bit of good old fashioned seduction /faked passion. Carianne, by his own admission, is everything that he doesn't like - so why fall for THAT old chesnut!!! I don't think they would sustain a proper adult relationship, he would bore her and then she'd be off eating someone else before long - after all there's already been warnings on that score!! She appears to be extremely two-faced & has certainly caused more problems than anyone else among the girls but STILL he seems quite unable to see what a horrid fake she is! Perhaps they do deserve each other after all... ... ...

It was obvious that Layla was getting in the final but I think Gavin should have kept April rather than Carianne....she's too desperate. I believe he'll pick Layla as his girl. The fact that he totally bombed the picnic date with her and they had a talk after and sorted it out speaks volumes to me. It ain't just about having fun, kissy kissy, lovey dovey times....sometimes there are disagreements/shit days too...and they can clearly show understanding and get through stuff like that. :-)
