We have just returned from a 4 night break at the Cavendish and can only report that although the hotel is dated our room was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. Am now going to watch this episode of The Hotel Inspector as missed in on 1st August.

What a shame that Alex's comments have not been followed. A friend and I went for afternoon tea this week and whilst it is certainly value for money the service was poor. We had to wait at least 20 mins before food arrived, no hot water jug with tea, and sandwiches (unbuttered mixed in with chocolate cakes etc. We won't be going back.

Loved last nights show - being from Eastbourne we found it massively interesting. Especially since we were the local company who hand made the Cavendish hotel's (featured as a good example) bespoke reception desk and display furniture. www.kingcabinetmakers.co.uk - a proud moment!
