I worked for Mr Nigel Fright aka Mr Burns from The Simpsons for about two weeks. I was working at the pub before he took over. Factually this programme is wrong the owners before run a very succesfull business in that at least 10 covers per night and weekends well over 100 per day selling traditional roasts, pies, fish & chips etc. Pub Grub! The pub also had a very loyal local drinkers club and as I can see from an empty bar this is no longer the case. Feel quite offended as to how the previous owners were knocked down in this programme and i look forward to your comments channel 5.

Very disappointed by the sudden move and the non-appearance of episode 5 - I had no trouble watching 'Hoarders' and Phil Spencer and indeed everything else that was scheduled at the same time but I agree with other commenters that Fernando should *always* have been in the Monday night slot and then we wouldn't have had these problems.

Bah. Not only did channel 5 take the program off, they then not only change the day and time. Argh. We have now missed the ONLY series currently on British TV worth watching. We then tried to use 5 on demand and it wouldn't work. Is there something in the air, Fernando? Is 5 trying to bury this brilliant show? Fernando will do well regardless but we, the people, need and want his wisdom and wit. Please, Channel 5, do not go gentle into that good night. We will rage against the dying of the light.

R.S. I keep looking for episode 4, the French Restaurant, on CH 5 player but cant find it. Part of my frustration, I dont like having to use the internet to view progs as I have to stare at a computer screen, but I couldnt always record it because it did clash with other programmes. I also was so surprized when the advertised Episode 5, Somerset, wasnt aired, no explation. Not good enough!

C5 drops The Restaurant Inspector until June 25 May, 2012 | By Jake Kanter Channel 5 has pulled The Restaurant Inspector from its Thursday night home and will not reschedule the factual series until the middle of next month. The Fresh One Productions spin-off of The Hotel Inspector has come up against tough factual competition this month, with sources pointing to the success of Channel 4’s The Hoarder Next Door. That contributed to The Restaurant Inspector averaging just 631k (2.67%) viewers over its first three episodes in the Thursday 9pm slot, according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional. This week’s episode was replaced by a repeat of Cowboy Builders and the second half of the series will now be shown in a 9pm Monday slot, starting 11 June. A Channel 5 spokeswoman said: “We felt the second part of The Restaurant Inspector series was better suited to a Monday night slot in June.”

Restaurant Inspector is one of the best progs on TV, really disappointed that the season stopped abruptly without notice. Please have respect for the viewers C5.

I think that channel 5 moved the Restaurant Inspector programme back to Monday at an earlier time simply because the first series had much better ratings when aired at this time/day. It appears that the general public would rather watch people with a hoarding problem on a Thursday night at 9pm. There is no accounting for taste! Channel 5 should sort its PR out as it has been abysmal.

could channel 5 please explain what is going on with restaurant inspector - was able to watch the episode which featured the Tarragon on catch up but it was not shown on the date listed in the T.V. magazines.

What's a mid-season break? Is that where they stop showing it without warning only to bring it back later when everyone has forgotten it's on?

I have spent a considerable time trying to find and record episode 4 which was advertised in the Radio Times. It appears it was not shown at all yet?? This is REALLY confusing for faithfull followers of this series. Why not plan your schedule and stick to it. This is one of the few good programmes on CH 5 now.

Are there legal issues arisen just before the missing episodes are shown perhaps instigated by the people shown in the programmes. Does C5 want to play it down so as to keep the model and idea for future shows alive. Is that the reason that C5 are putting up a smoke screen?

Peed off Channel 5 have decided to have a break from such good program to show the tripe that is Cowboy Builders. For the last two weeks TV mag has shown Restaurant Inspector is on, but it isn't. Get your act together C5 and tell people what is going on. Stop showing repeats of Cowboy Builders and give us viewers what we want.

us shows have mid season breaks but they run for 20+ episodes so a mid season break is after like 8-10 episodes. What a joke "take a break" after only 3 episodes have aired. What is going on? ?

It's on the net but not the tv, because someone messed up, and obviously didn't realised it had been pulled. But why tell them... Channel 5 didn't tell us (the viewers) either!

It might have been nice Channel 5, if you'd bothered to tell people, and not just sneak in some 'mid season break' ...which was not advertised. And 'mid season break!' ...Who are you, Fox, Abc, Usa Network? And Cowboy Builders? ...really? ...REALLY? ...Yawn, yawn, yawn. At least tell people what happened... People appreciate communication! Truth please... I'm sure it wouldn't hurt too much :-)
