Today's Sofa Surfer Cath is also a talented writer...
Today's Sofa Surfer Cath Bore is a writer and spoken word artist from Liverpool.
She was born in Preston, Lancashire but escaped to Liverpool when she was 19. She concentrates on crime fiction, her debut novel The Missing Link featuring Liverpool DS Constance Ward is nearing completion. In it, we join Constance as she hunts down a serial killer butchering call girls on Merseyside. The novel was placed second at 2011's Festival of Writing in their unpublished novel competition back in March. The Missing Link also 'won' all four Dragons at Theakston's Old Peculiar Crime Writing Festival's Dragon's Pen competition in 2010.
Her screenplay Past Glories, a dark comedy which comments on society's obsession with celebrity culture, was commissioned and produced by Liverpool film production company First Take in 2010.
The Audition, a monologue, was recently performed in Manchester courtesy of Organised Chaos Productions. Featuring the character of Lisa Monroe - a wannabe actress desperate to get her big break - the monologue follows Lisa as she goes up for a part in an advert for a new recyclable menstrual cup.
Cath also appears on Liverpool's City Talk 105.9 every Tuesday morning, reviewing the day's top news stories.
