In the aftermath of the barn massacre, the group bury Sophia and Hershel mourns the loss of his wife. Hershel makes a decision: he wants the group off his land. And the devastation further causes fractures in the group.
Shane confronts Rick claiming Hershel knew of Sophia’s presence in the barn the whole time. However, Carol refuses to acknowledge the service that is held for her daughter and she falls into a deep depression.
Meanwhile Hershel removes all of his wife’s belongings from the house before disappearing, which causes his youngest daughter Beth to revert into herself, refusing all attempts at communication. Rick and Glenn, fearing that Hershel will start drinking again after years of sobriety, go looking for him in the town.
After arguing with Andrea and T-Dog over Shane’s actions which led to the barn massacre, Dale confides in Lori that he believes Shane sacrificed Otis to the walkers to save himself. She decides to go after Rick, but on the way into town her car hits a walker and she ends up in a ditch. Before long, she has attracted some unwanted attention...

I watch this programme because I actually enjoy doing so for all the right reasons. So good on 5 for carrying this series. I hate the old man. Why doesn't he get a new RV that doesn't need to be fixed all the time.. its not like he'd need to pay for it???

Its a joke that non-legit website work better than these useless ones ... you pause the vid and then it resets it to start so u gota watch hours of adverts and then u cant skip to the bit you were previously on!? this along with Iplayer are actually the worst designed websites ever even more so than the government websites which crash every 10 minutes! way to ruin a serious time to watch in on youtube + no adverts ...

Was a bit disappointed with Season 2 but the previous episode and this week's episode were fantastic! I'm totally hooked! On a separate note, yes the adverts are very annoying but I just mute them. No problems with streaming recently - five player along with itv player are the worst culprits when it comes to problematic streaming where the programme keeps stopping and you have to restart it and watch the same damn adverts again and again. I honestly don't think Channel 5 read these comments - they expect you to be discussing the programmes here, not complaining about technical issues, so if you've got a complaint I would urge you all to email them directly - that's what I'll be doing if the streaming issues become a problem again.

Does anyone from Channel 5 ever read these comments - I hope not, because if they do it means they don't care what their audience has to say. Channel 5 get your act together. I will repeat what so many other people have said, the only thing that works on your 'player' are the adverts. If one more person says 'the adverts are needed to pay for the programmes' I'll scream, like we don't know that. It seems like every programme I try to watch on here fails to work well. I have tried different times of day, different browsers, pausing and re-starting all with the same pathetic result. It has nothing to do with my computer or how 'busy' the broadband in my area may be - I've watched BBC iPlayer in one browser window whilst in another I'm onto the fifth round of Channel 5 adverts. The fault clearly lies with Channel 5. Oh, by the way, I work in advertising and I sell the concept of the only way an advert works is through repetition but Channel 5 you're taking it a bit far by making us watch an advert 4 or 5 times before we finally get the programme to play.

This iPlayer is so useless. I've reported The Walking Dead videos over and over and they're still just as bad, freezing up all the time. I notice the adverts dont freeze though, I love this show but will be glad when its finished so I dont have to watch this terrible site anymore

Tried to watch it on Firefox and its stops every few minutes. Tried to report a problem using the link and it said I was watching on Chrome (which I wasn't), so I swapped to Safari and it works fine. Hope that helps - but maybe Mac users only?

I love the walking Dead, but sorry 5OD whats going on!!!! Watching this on catch up is close to imposible. why is it I can watch iplayer, netflix, 4od etc. with no problems but 5OD plays the ads then nothing else???? I GIVE UP

No it doesn't work. It's very poor and C5 know it but cant seem to put it right. BBC iplayer has no similar issues. Very VERY very poor C5. I cant think of another site that performs this badly (except C4 sometimes, and Blinxbox). Oh dear

nice to see that the ads don't need to buffer but the prog does. I've now seen the same adds 3 times and had then running in the back gorund another 3 times however doing that seems to loose me sound so well do big clap for messing it up

the buffering on this programme is shocking. its taken me two days to watch one episode because it was so annoying. still havent seen it all the way through. may as well be a radio programme because i get the sound fine! adverts never buffer however. this media player is awful compared to other channels.

Re: buttering I paused the start of the episode, went and did something else for about 20 minutes then watched the whole thing through without any difficulty Also if you watch off peak (as I have with other episodes), tends to work better.

it is a great series but is so full of plot holes that need filling in. why are the government not broadcasting on emergency radio channels from Cheyanne mountain. Why are they not called zombies. Hershal must have known about sophia. why does no one talk about how it all began. Why dont they all wise up and realise its all about stone age life or death survival. i could go on

The usual buffering disaster form Channel 5 On Demand - really poor again, I don't think I have ever been able to post a positive comment in respect of their on demand service which when you hit refresh simply plays 120 seconds of advertisements again before freezing when the programme starts. Channel 5 - your technical staff are clearly useless - if I was Chief Executive of C5, I would fire the lot of them and re-hire a team that know what they are doing. I'd probably find them at Channel 4 or the BBC which is where I hope The Walking Dead goes at the end of this season.

@Ray - thanks for your reply - I can see the logic in that - but I guess it would have to be an attack by one walker in that case - when they are in "packs" they seem to act pretty fast in bringing their victim down.

@Kevin it only takes a Walker to bite a non-walker for the non-walker to become a walker, if that makes sense, so in other other words maybe sophie got bitten but managed to escape but then turned into a walker over time. Also well done channel 5 this show is SO GOOD! the only thing I dont like about it is that you have to wait 1 whole week before watching the next episode :D

Although Shane is a nasty piece of work, he has made the right decisions throughout to survive, ricks son would be long dead if he hadn't sacrificed Otis -and maybe more would have fallen if they kept on searching the forest for Sophia.

What I don't understand is how there can be new walkers (like Sophie) - whenever a walker attacks a non-walker they start to eat them - so how is there enough left of the "non-walker" to become a walker?
