Rowing for a record
More about our involvement with a record breaking attempt to row the North Atlantic Ocean...
The Wright Stuff is proud to be associated with Roz Savage and Andrew Morris who are set to row to London from the East coast of Canada.
The couple - who aim to be back home in time for the Olympics - will endure the 2,500 row to Britain, before continuing their epic journey up the Bristol Channel into the inland waterways in time for the opening ceremony of the Games.
The record for a pairs crossing has stood unbroken for 115 years but this will be the first time a male/female team will attempt the journey.
And what makes this seafaring adventure extra special, is that Andrew and Roz will be rowing in 'Bojangles' with The Wright Stuff logo emblazoned on the side!
Keep watching The Wright Stuff and we'll bring you regular updates throughout their record breaking venture across the North Atlantic Ocean.
Roz Savage and Andrew Morris's attempt to become the first mixed-sex team to row across the Atlantic has had to be postponed. High winds hampered their attempts to set off from Newfoundland in Canada, and they've now been warned not to embark on their challenge due to the danger posed by icebergs.
Roz and Andrew had planned to row as far as the Bristol Channel, before joining the River Thames to row into London ahead of the start of the OIympics on 27th July. Now the boat will be shipped back to the UK so they can still complete that last part of the journey, which should take them two weeks.
They're monitoring the ice conditions, and hope to make the expedition next year.
