Parts 2 & 3: Would You Risk Death Penalty For Your Kids?
First up we’re asking if you would risk the death penalty for your kids? That’s what housewife Lindsay Sandiford did, but she was caught smuggling £1.6m of cocaine into Indonesia and could face the firing squad. She says she did it as her sons, aged 23 and 21, were being threatened back home. Can you sympathise with her? Would you have done the same?
Part 4: Today’s Papers
Part 5: Are You Wasting Your Life Living For Your Kids?
Isn’t there something desperately sad about parents who sacrifice their own lives to help their kids fulfill their dreams? Doesn’t it put your child under huge pressure to succeed? There’s the cost to your own life, both personal and professional. Just because you’re a parent doesn’t mean you stop being a person with needs too, right? And honestly, aren’t you really just trying to live out your own dreams through your kids?
Part 6: Bribing Kids To Behave In School
One in six secondary schools rewards pupils with things like DVDs and MP3 players in return for turning up, doing homework and not misbehaving. Are you OK with that? Does it send the wrong message - there’s a reward for just doing what you should be doing anyway? Or, now you can’t hit kids, is bribing them the only way to get them to turn up?
Part 7: Are American Words Garbage?
Does hearing youngsters say soda, candy or sneakers make you cranky? Or are you cool with the Americanification of the English language?
No I wouldn't risk the death penalty for my kids especially once their grown ups. I am not a parent but even though I was I would not agree wiith bibing kids. They go to school coz they are supposed to go to school.
good idea mate, they should have a member of the joe public on the pannel each week.....Wayne, south yorkshire, Barnsley. ( i was on yesterdays show phone in, mathew ad a wright laugh)
how about this for a subject of debate, bring back goverment run bussinesses like energy, fuel, food etc and then prices could be set. any profit from this would mean the goverment could reduce its debts and borrow less. i mean how my profit goes to foriegn owners of water and utillities and fuel companys??
so is this all problems arising from previous goverments selling off all these assets for cheap short term money instead of looking long term!!!!!!1
