Part 1: Hellos & Menu
Parts 2 & 3: Emmerdale’s Assisted Suicide Plot
For our first phone in we’re going to hear what you think of last night’s assisted suicide on Emmerdale. Today’s papers claim the sight of Jackson ending it all was too much for younger viewers - going out, as it did, 90 minutes or so before the 9pm watershed. While some folk with spinal problems hated the fact Jackson was paraplegic - his suicide suggests their lives might not be worth living either they say. Maybe - but shouldn’t the soap be congratulated for at least exploring one of the most controversial issues of our time?
We’ll hear what you have to say about that before we go to Tom for the rest of the day’s headlines.
Part 4: Today’s Papers
Part 5: Not Fair!
Then: Do only lousy parents tell their kids life’s not fair? Isn’t that phrase just an excuse to give up? I mean if life’s not fair, why should I bother? Equally it can be used to justify selfishness: this is mine - if you don’t like it, tough - life’s not fair! Matthew Kelly got me thinking about this yesterday when he said we should always strive for fairness. But Dominic will tell you an obsession with fairness is what’s destroyed comprehensive education in this country. Fair enough? What do you say?
Part 6: Love You - Hate Your Politics!
After that: Love you, hate your politics! Have you any of you fallen for someone with opposing political beliefs? Doesn’t the fact one of you votes Tory and the other Labour get in the way of just about everything or does true love win thru in the end?
Part 7: No Name For Baby? There’s An App For That!
And finally: No name for your baby? Don’t worry - there’s an app for that! But would you use it? Would you let your mobile phone and a 59p programme choose your tot’s name?

I think schools that don't have competetive sport are being unfair to some children who aren't academic. I think children should know that they can't be good at evrything and everybody has strengths and weaknesses. Some children are only good at sport some are only good at academic subjects. "Life is not fair" accept that and do your best. We do not live in a perfect world and whatever we do there will be differences

The biggest expample of different politics within a marriage is the Conservative Speaker John Bercow and his Labour acgivist wife Sally Bercow. Can't see how that works at all.

Life tends to be unfair because those with talents shine in some other aspect besides competitive games. But competition encourages bullying and my heart still stops when I hear anyone snarl at anyone else in a park or public place. 2.Hate you, hate your politics: as an American Citizen, I got so fed up with asking if I could vote over here in a British election, I stopped asking, because as an ex "alien" (beep beepbeep beep!) I was classed as a lunatic, nun or prisoner. I always (except for once!) voted absentee in USA elections. When I was widowed although I was now a British Citizen and not a "subject" a mix-up at the Town Hall prevented me from voting. I know, as I tried to claim my right to vote, that the HAW! Haw! Hooray Henry tory vote counter, I would have been sorely tempted to kick him in the shins!
