Find out why

Part 1: Hellos & Menu

Parts 2 & 3: Who’s The Greatest Olympian?
First up: I want to hear who you think is the greatest Olympian? Is it swimmer Michael Phelps for his massive haul of golds, Sir Steve Redgrave for coming first five Olympics in a row, Daley Thompson for his double gold in the decathlon or maybe you think top honours should go to Jesse Owens for winning gold in front of Hitler? So who do you think’s the greatest of them all?

We’ll take calls on that before it’s over to Nik for the rest of today’s headlines.

Part 4: Today’s Papers

Part 5: Chain Stores Kill High Streets?
And then we’re going to hear if you think chain stores are killing high streets the length and breath of the country. Last week we heard how the fiercely independent traders of one Devon town are about to be joined by their first chain store. They’re not happy but judging from the emails we’ve had plenty of locals are: independent traders are often complacent and charge too much, they say. So what’s the truth?

Part 6: Older Parents A Pushover?
Moving on: Are older parents a pushover? The Daily Mail reckons younger parents are better at laying down the law than older mums and dads who take a more relaxed approach to rules and discipline. Does any of this ring true with you?

Part 7: Touchy-Feely = Creepy!
And finally: Are touchy-feely people creepy? Some BBC Olympics reporters have been crucified in the press for being overly tactile with the sports stars they’re interviewing. How do you feel about relative strangers or even friends touching, grabbing or stroking you while they talk?

Dont know how anyone can say usain bolt is great what has he done exactly. I think to be a great olympian you have to do things over a long period, win gold and do things to help people, either in the sport or outside. I find the 100m a turn off event too much egos and hype and they have done nothing more than any other disipline. There are so many people who do amazing work for charity outside sport who deserve gold medals, and many people have no choice to care for people. Also paralympics are inspiration as they overcome such difficulties. Steve redgrave for doing things and his amazing coaching and he has diabetes and tammy grey thompson including their humble personalities and passion. Jess ennis abd mo farah.are fabulous too.
