of course it was better to shoot him. it will save millions of dollars, that the parasite lawyers would have made trying to defend the indefensible.

The reason the pubs are closing is beacause the brewery's are excesivly over charging their tenants for rent and tying them into only buying from them, the only pubs that are busy are the managed houses !!

yes i think bin ladin being killed is a good outcome because to keep this man detained would have been a logistical and security nightmare, with theats on civilians to retrive this evil man

If Bin Laden was captured alive and brought to court, the lawyers would make sure he goes free by showing that he was not directly involved in the atrocities he master minded and it would be back to square one! It's another criminal out in the open!!

In 1973 I was talking to a young officer in the Guards who was well connected. He told me then that in thirty years time the government (and by that he meant the think tanks behind all party's)Had plans to have us all sat in front of our telly's with our tins in our hands. The idea being that you can be controlled better through your T.V. and you wont be talking politics etc. in the pubs. As an X publican I feel that they are well on there way to achieving there aims. In doing so they have put thousands out of work closed the heart and sole of British culture and removed the best police person for the job a responsible landlord. It was frond upon to drink in the home it was seen as being the proof of someone with a drink problem. The greed of the Breweries and companies who manage the lands public houses hold no bonds. they reward hard work with higher and higher charges it's sole destroying.

the goverment want the pubs to close as they see this as a way of controling the abuse of booze, rather than controling the prices in the supermarket.

Being an "East Ender" I can tell you the main reason pubs are closing in Tower Hamlets is the fact it is a predominantly muslem area and muslem's don't drink alcohol = empty pubs.

EVERYTHING that is good for the human mind, anything recreational, has gone up in price, can we now do anything that doesn't cost a bomb. Just in my city alone, there has been swimming pools closed down, cinema complex's closed down, pubs, all responsible for holding communities together and keeping social harmony. People already find it very hard to talk to someone they dont know, hard to say "hello" to a stranger walking down the street, the closure of public houses and recreational facilities is only going to worsen this

I don't understand how it can be said that it was good thing that he was killed because based on the evidence available he probably wouldn't have been convicted if he stood trial. Am i missing something but surely if he cant be convicted he is innocent isn't he ? Or is it one rule for them and one rule for us ..again

Conspiracy theories already abound. Shooting the USA's most wanted man and dumping him in the sea, anybody would have to be crazy to do that. Oh, hang on, they are. Maybe id really did happen.
