Sorry, this episode is no longer available to watch on Demand 5.

Find out why

Part 1: Hellos & Menu

Parts 2 & 3: Votes For Lags
First up: Since we’ve got an expert like Pro Wilson here it seems like a good time to discuss giving prisoners the vote. Europe has told us the blanket ban we’ve had for more than a century must go. Should it? And if so what kind of compromise should we offer?

We’ll take plenty of calls on that before it’s over to David for the rest of today’s headlines.

Part 4: Today’s Papers

PART 5: TOWN CENTRE CURFEWS FOR U-16s
After that: we’ll hear what you think about banning under 16s from our town centres at night? They’re doing just that in Bangor North Wales from today in attempt to stamp out anti social behaviour. Any yoof found out and about between 9 at night and six in the morning risks jail. Isn’t that just ever so slightly over the top?

Part 6: Bonking When Baby’s In Bed
Moving on to a subject I know nothing about - and that’s bonking when your baby’s in bed. One in three Swedish couples do apparently and the Mail on Sunday’s outraged. But what are you supposed to do if you’re one of 40 per cent British parents who do co-sleeping, that’s sharing your bed with your baby?

Part 7: God Save The Queen’s Ears?
And finally: God Save the Queen’s Ears? Are you outraged or amused by claims the queen’ll have to sit through the sex pistol’s punk shocker god save the queen at the Olympic opening ceremony? Or has the idea no future?

"Don't be told what you want/Don't be told what you need" is the main message of GOD SAVE THE QUEEN,for the benefit of all you Radio 2 listeners. That station has played it though, concluding SLASH'S GUITAR HEROES(12/10).Q Magazine rated it the most exciting song ever.It has been covered by Motorhead, but imo Poison's INSTRUMENTAL version is better(check it out on we7.How's that for "tuneless"?)I suspect P.Wilson's idea of 'real music' is DIRE STRAITS/ELO/CLIFF.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN is a vile, disgusting record that is disrespectful to the queen. It should be banned forever. It is not even a good song. It just an angry thug shouting tuneless, mindless rot into a microphone. Anyone who likes this nonsense should hang their heads in shame. Britain has a wonderful history of great music and great singers and bands. So why this? Anyone who is a genuine, REAL music lover would not give this attrosity the time of day. MP's, the royals, the royal household, the Olympic committee and real music lovers should do everything they can to make sure this awful dross is not heard at the Olympic games.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN(original title:NO FUTURE)was more of an attack on conformity than on HMQ.In 2009,the office football bore remarked the Sex Pistols couldn't be that famous ,or he'd have heard of them!!The only Sid Vicious he knew of was some meathead wrestler!!Though 30,he often displayed the conduct of a child,as well as the rank ignorance.(If I were still there,I'd have dubbed the bumpkin Baby Peter. He never heard of Viz or Radio 4 either;the price of relying on redtops for information and believing the world revolves around the Premier League,I suppose.)

Our MP's that we voted in change things for us when they want and don't listen to us the people if we don't like it. Now they signed up to the European Union without asking us but now they don't like it when the European Union says we must do something. You can't just pick and choose the bits you want and don't want, the boots now on the other foot.

any prisoner who has a sentence greater than the lifespan of the election (i.e. three years for a local election or five years for a general election) should not be allowed to vote.
