Sorry, this episode is no longer available to watch on Demand 5.

Find out why

Part 1: Hellos & Menu

Parts 2 & 3: Gene Test Unborn Tots For 3,500 Disorders
First up: I’m after your reaction to the latest medical advance - a gene test that would allow medics to screen your unborn tot for 3,500 disorders including autism. Is this good news as scientists claim. Won’t it simply lead to a rise in abortions?

We’ll take plenty of calls on that before it’s over to Russell for the rest of today’s headlines.

Part 4: Today’s Papers

Part 5: Wrong To Ask Jews To Play Ww2 Refugees?
After that a curious one for you. A Jewish couple who attended a world war two renactment in Lancashire were outraged when asked to dress up as Jewish refugees complete with Star of David and battered suitcase. Now if they were ordered to play Jewish refugees I could understand their ire but it’s not clear if organisers even knew what faith the couple were. So do they have any right to complain?

Part 6: When Best Laid Plans Go Wrong
After that we’re going to hear your tales of what happens when your best laid plans go wrong. The weekend’s Jubilee river pageant was a washout because of terrible weather - but what went wrong with your big event: your wedding, your extravagant proposal, your special birthday bash, maybe even at a loved one’s funeral?

Part 7: Vcr Dinosaurs
And finally: are you a VCR dinosaur? Have DVDs yet to enter your life? What’s the matter with you?

You are incorrect about Spanish Gay Marriage in the RC church. The Civil Marriage Service is allowed - all Spanish Marriages take place as a Civil Service. Some 'new' churches have sprung up to 'marry ' people. The Church Service is NOT supported by the RC Church. Mother and Father have been replaced by 1st Parent and 2nd Parent on official docuemnts. NB many people in Sain do not marry.

as a reenactor who inicidentally was part of the battle group that was part of the battles for the general public at the bury railway wartime event i personally over the last 10 years have had nothing but positive comments with regards to the battles and uniforms that people wear.i have met dozens of veterans who fought the nazis and again positive comments so much so that they have said that without people like us there would be no reference to what went on in the war and what soldiers went we now start banning modern day american uniforms because people of a certain ethnic backgrounds take offence ?also the person or persons who asked the couple if they would like to dress as jewish refugees were nothing to do with the battle group or the organisers of the weekends events.Yet again we have a handful of people trying to spoil a great weekend attended by over 10 thousand people who come back year after year.

I re-watched The Island last night and if there was ever a film to make you think about we way we look at perfection in ourselves and/or our children this is the one. Could this screening lead to 'cloning'

This topic is making me mad. I have Klinefilter syndrome wich give's you learning problems. but the test for this is done by seamen and not blood. any one the has klinefilter syndrome has dieabetic type 2, and raynadrds which is were the vains shrink cuting off the blood to your hands and feet. so this test proves nothing.
