Re: fostering. the reason why there are not many foster carers coming forward is because of the neglect of them. The horror stories of what they go through is never really televised. Accusations and allegations that changes lives and your stuck with for the rest of your fostering career and non fostering career for that matter.

Mathew is wrong about minor criminal convictions being spent after 5 years. The law has changed since 2007, and even non custodial sentences, like fines for minor "criminal" offenses, will stay on your record until your 100th birthday! That is what I was told by the police when trying to get my record stepped down for kicking a car door whilst a the driver was trying to push me off the road on my motorbike. The police told me I could have it stepped down until until 2007. That is a way for the Association o Chief Police Officers to make money, because they SELL the new so called POLICE CERTIFICATE; (Not to be mistaken with a CRB), required by the USA, NZ, AU and Canada consulates for visa purposes. If you it want it in less then 10 working days, you have to pay a double "EXPRESS" fee. In my country in Brazil, this is called bribe!

Not only should the bingo be banned from Facebook but the constant bingo adverts on television should be banned as well.
