The Wright Stuff – Thursday 19th July
PART 1: HELLOS AND MENU
PART 2/3: OLYMPICS: WHERE’S THE PRIDE?
First up: I wanna know why there’s a barely a flag to be seen when the Olympics are just over a week away? Where’s our sense of national pride in this once in a lifetime event? When we hosted the Euro 96 championships flags of St George and St Andrew were everywhere, Three Lions was number one in the charts. For the Olympics, though, nothing? Why?
PART 4: TODAY’S PAPERS
PART 5: ARE WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE INVISIBLE?
After that: Are women of a certain age invisible? We hear the phrase a lot but is there any truth to it? What do we mean by invisible? Not having a voice? Not seeing yourselves reflected on TV, in politics or adverts, perhaps? Maybe there’s no truth to this claim at all. Those women who want to be seen are and the rest, presumably, can’t be bothered. What do you say?
PART 6: TEACH INFERTILITY IN SCHOOLS
Moving on: Should sex education classes in schools deal with infertility issues? IVF barely gets a mention at present but one academic thinks that should change to reflect the fact that five kids in every class will experience problems starting a family. But would warning youngsters not to leave it too late undermine lessons on contraception, STIs and so on?
PART 7: WHO’LL SPLASH OUT FOR UK FLAGSHIP?
And finally: will you chip in to help buy a very big boat that the Daily Mail thinks’ll make Britain great again? £80m it’s gonna cost - and chances are you’ll never get a go on it. But imagine what it will do for trade? Imagine what it will be like to see Britannia rule the waves again even if we can’t afford an army or a police force.

The Voting system 'first pass the post' and the way that areas get changed to suit a 'party' in obtaining more votes is not democracy. I believe that England should have its own government so that only English MPs vote on English matters and a party that obtains the most votes from only those with the right to vote in England are given the vote. That will be democracy. This may be a FREE COUNTRY but only for everyone who is not English.

The olympics is supposed to be an amature organised event, why are there professionals allowed to enter? look at the US Basketball team in the 1992 Olympics and how they dominated the event scoring an average of 40+ points over all rivals.

Why should we be patriotic for the games when we are not allowed to celebrate St Georges, St Davids day etc as it may upset some of the people that have chosen to live in this country and have different faiths! Let us be British and we will support Britain.
