The Wright Stuff - Wednesday 18th July

PART 1: HELLOS & MENU

PART 2/3: FAST FOOD FIRMS IN SCHOOLS
For our first phone in: I wanna know how you feel about fast food firms opening branches in schools. Subway is to open a unit in a Manchester comp. It’ll only sell healthier sandwiches. Supporters say having it inside the school will mean fewer pupils nipping out to buy junk food in town. So maybe every school should have one -what do ya say?

PART 4: We’ll take plenty of calls on that before it’s over to Mark for the rest of the day’s headlines.

PART 5: SPIKED!
After that: Spiked! Have you had drugs sneakily slipped into your drink by friends or strangers? One police study found as many as one in 25 drinks have been spiked but other experts dispute it’s as widespread as that. if you or a friend have had a drink spiked we’d love to hear from you. Who did it, what did they give you and what on earth happened as a consequence?

PART 6: LET NAKED RAMBLER ROAM FREE?
After that: I wanna know if naked rambler Stephen Gough should be allowed to roam the country free, dressed in nowt but his birthday suit, following his release from prison yesterday? He’s been convicted of breaching the peace 17 times in the last decade. Is there any point nicking him again? What if he rambles past a school and gives the kids a fright?

PART 7: TEXTING: BETTER THAN A PHONE CALL?
And finally is texting better than a phone call? Only the latest stats show sending a message is now more popular than actually calling someone. Why? Is it the cost, the convenience? or something else? Maybe a text is less bother and more efficient than a call?

I hope that my experience I spoke about on the programme regarding Spiked Drinks carried a message to others to be careful with their drinks at all times.

How about setting up classes in college / schools, whereby children can pay a lower amount of money (than subway and such) and make there own sandwiches / snacks.Learn how to make there own food and give them the choice.

I am concerned at a comment made on Tuesdays show that the children and Grandchioldren should bare the shame I agree with the idea of an eye for an eye...a tooth for a tooth ....but surely not the milktooth of a child born 50 years later?
