    Graham Taylor said that Shankly said Liverpool never finished low enough to be in in tonights competition. Up ti 1999 there was the European Cup/ Champions League and The Uefa Cup Winners Cup.Automatic Qualification for these competitions. So which competition is he on about?

    Shankly passed away in 1981...so how can Graham Taylor say Liverpool never finished low enough to play in UEFA Competitions.Must be on about Fairs Cup which finished around 1971.Graham your memory is befuddled or you`re making it up.
