Veterinary receptionist Shelly Crockett from Warrington is the final winner of a V-Team makeover. She entered the competition as she felt in a style rut and needed a fashion boost.

And that’s exactly what she's been given! She looks every inch the rock chick in her fabulous new look.

The V-Team's expert stylist Kirsty Drury explained, "Shelly told us she’s quite a tomboy so we used masculine elements and contrasted them with something quite feminine." The trend is 'New Denim' which takes an underrated material and uses it in a fresh way.

"I love bowler hats but I’d never have worn one – I just wouldn’t have the confidence."

Selecting a Love Label skirt in leather combined the girly with the tough. And the skater style balances out the the masculine shape of the shirt, accentuating her gorgeous little waist.

There is also a nod to the upcoming autumn / winter season as Shelly can wear the outfit with tights or leggings when it gets cold so it’s a versatile buy for the new season.

Shelly is thrilled with the results. “You get to that stage when you’re only really wearing casual clothes and you think, ‘I’ll just stick with trousers and a t-shirt’,” she says. And next time she's out shopping she's confident to push herself outside her comfort zone.
