Ned Giles, an aspiring news photographer, joins the 1932 Great Apache Expedition on the search for the young son of a wealthy Mexican land owner who was kidnapped by Apaches. Ned soon finds himself on an unexpected and perilous journey through rugged terrain when a captured Apache girl must be exchanged for the kidnapped boy.

apart from it stopping and starting, pausing and having to be restarted right through the film and too many advertisements that are all the same and very frequent a very good film to watch and relax before going to bed
Reloaded this film 7 or 8 times but it wouldn't play past the first set of adverts so never even got to see the opening shot of the film. I can see a bunch of comments complaining about the amount of adverts and how they stop the film working, so I am sure others must have complained via the 'report a problem with this vidoe' link too, but channel 5 appears to have done nothing to rectify it.
Chnnl5 needs to shorten the adverts...who was the wild girl...i think the name don't add up. my sympathy goes to the Apache...these people have struggle and still are unfortunately,,,,every human needs some peace in life. i love the scenery and the nature side of the movie.
Err, no adverts, no channe 5l. How do they pay the wages?
Great film. Great title too; relates to the concept of 'feral children' perhaps, who are unable to fit in to society? I thought it was an imaginatively stimulating film, with a very agreeable moral perspective.
yeah, The Title Under sales the movie....I can see the relevance, but I still don't think it's suitable. I actually only watched it Because I dint see the name Until half way through when some one asked. had I seen that title I sure as hell wouldn't have watched it....
The wild girl was not the Apache, it was the young anthropologist, who decided to go and live in the wild with the people!!! So, yes, the title was correct and incredibly clever!!!

i read the last apache girl on holiday, the film wasn't as good as the book. i can't believe people saw the apaches as animals to be killed so sad

Film was rather weak and implausible - but I just about managed to stick with it despite tiresomely repetitive adverts.

A good story worth watching. My sympathies go out to the Apache people.
